The last character introduced is Teokhuga. A shipbuilder by trade, he decides to tag along with Shallistera when she decides to go on her journey. Shallistera herself sees him as a member of the family, as he has always been around.

Also announced were some details about various field actions new to Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea. The biggest of these are the Life Tasks, which change depending on the player’s style and story progression. For instance, if a player were to spend a lot of time mining, their Life Tasks would become more mining oriented.

This actually ties in directly with the new dynamic field exploration system. When characters fulfill Life Tasks, various things could happen, from changing the items that can be harvested to changing the monsters on the map. Furthermore, it can also lead to various events such as relic discoveries and more.

Various actions on the field have been added to this addition to the Atelier series. Shallistera and Shallote both can perform such things as harvesting and mining, but there are some actions accessible to only one of them.

Another noteworthy news piece is that Gust’s development team is bringing in outside artists to assist with the soundtrack for the game. So far, only three have been announced: Matryoshka, Nasu Asaco, and Canoue.
