Capcom has announced a contest for the upcoming Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, in which you can design and name your own weapon to be used in the game.
Since the unique and preposterous weapon designs are part of the appeal of Monster Hunter (at least for me), having the potential to create one for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate is a pretty appealing prospect. Long-time fans may remember that Capcom did a similar contest back in 2009 for Monster Hunter Tri, with some truly impressive results. The weapon you design can be any of the fourteen weapon types; Sword & Shield, Dual Blades, Great Sword, Long Sword, Hammer, Hunting Horn, Lance, Gunlance, Switch Axe, Light Bowgun, Heavy Bowgun, Bow, and even Insect Glaive and Charge Blade, which are new to Monster Hunter 4.
There will be two winners, one from the Americas (both North and South) and one from Europe (including New Zealand and Australia). Those who wish to enter will have until 9 AM PST on May the 5th to get their entries in.
After seeing the results of the Monster Hunter Tri contest, I’m excited to see the results of this contest. Anyone thinking about entering?
