Scariest Enemies Giygas

  • 1. Giygas defeats 8. Lilith by 9 votes

In a battle of evils you can’t properly fathom, it’s Giygas who comes out the winner. A commendable job by Lilith, but she just came up short.

  • 5. General Beatrix defeats 4. Lynx by 3 votes

The closest vote of the round, Beatrix and Lynx battled until they couldn’t fight anymore. In the end, it was the Final Fantasy IX villain who had her hand raised in the end.

Final Fantasy IV - Golbez

  • 6. Golbez defeats 3. Van Grants with 60% of the vote

In our second battle of Tales vs. Final Fantasy IV, it is the Final Fantasy villain who claims victory this time around. Sorry, Van.

  • 7. Axem Rangers defeat 2. Sovereign with 65% of the vote

The writing was on the wall before this one even started. Sovereign had a tough enough time defeating John Henry Eden. It would’ve been a miracle if he had beaten the Rangers.

It should also be noted that 3 out of the 4 higher seeds in this grouping lost to lower-seeded villains. That Giygas win over Lilith was the only positive for the higher seeds this round.

ROUND 3

Giygas will need to gather all his unfathomable power if he is to survive the onslaught of Squaresoft villains coming his way. Even if he defeats Beatrix, a spot in the semifinals isn’t guaranteed.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

And we end with another battle of Squaresoft villains. There seem to be a lot of them in this tournament, which leaves me with one question: Did the villains in Square games get worse over time, or are we just overlooking them?

Anyway, on one side, you have the powerful Golbez from Final Fantasy IV. On the other, it’s the Axem Rangers from Super Mario RPG. Victory is not assured for either one, and hearts may be broken by the end of Saturday.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
