UEMATSU BRACKET

Sephiroth

  • 1. Sephiroth defeats 9. Dragon God with 60% of the vote

It’s tough to say how Sephiroth will do the rest of the way. He hasn’t been winning as big as the previous two number-1 seeds. Is that a product of going up against good villains or backlash from people who found Final Fantasy VII to be overrated?

  • 5. Garland defeats 4. Diablo with 73% of the vote

The Lord of Terror has fallen, not to a virtuous warrior, but to an evil knight. There is a new ruler in Hell.

Fire Emblem - Sephiran-Lehran

  • 14. Lehran defeats 6. Zophar with 66% of the vote

Again, only an upset by seeding. Lehran is an excellent villain, regardless of rank in this tournament. Zophar just wasn’t evil enough.

  • 2. Lavos defeats 10. Fawful with 62% of the vote

This was rather close early on…before Lavos realized he was the higher seeded villain and cruised to victory. Fawful’s fury is stopped here.

Uematsu Bracket - Round 3 | oprainfall - RPG Villain Tournament

ROUND 3

Sephiroth may be considered one of the best Final Fantasy villains, but he’s going up against the original Final Fantasy villain. Sparks will fly and feelings will be hurt in this match-up.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Lehran may not be the highest-rated villain, but he’s been a powerhouse so far, taking out Zophar and Saren Arterius by large margins. Lavos had better watch out.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.
