BURLINGAME, Calif. – MARCH 25, 2014 – TECMO KOEI America today announced its exciting spring line-up for PlayStation® platforms has launched across North America including DECEPTION IV: BLOOD TIES for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and the PlayStation®Vita handheld entertainment system, DYNASTY WARRIORS 8: XTREME LEGENDS for PlayStation®3 and DYNASTY WARRIORS 8: XTREME LEGENDS COMPLETE EDITION for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and PlayStation®Vita. These popular series have been completely updated, packed with new content, with many specialized for the new generation of consoles.

DECEPTION IV: BLOOD TIES is produced by the creator of the Fatal Frame series, Keisuke Kikuchi and developed by Tecmo Koei Games in Japan. The re-imagined strategy action title revolves around the deceitful main character Laegrinna, who assisted by three Daemons each representing a different aspect of cruelty (Sadistic Torment, Elaborate Death and Humiliating Demise), defeats her foes through trickery. Players get a taste of what its like to play on the side of evil as Laegrinna, an animated fragment of an imprisoned Devil’s soul, mischievously lures her victims into strategically placed traps ranging from rolling boulders and spring boards to falling bathtubs and banana peels, which are then activated. Players up the ante on mischief as they create trap combos limited only by their imaginations with humorously, wicked results.
Players can upload their best trap combos or challenge others to beat their highest-scoring combos in the PlayStation 3 version of DECEPTION IV: BLOOD TIES. Other network elements include leaderboards for total Ark (points accumulated in a level), clear time etc., in addition to uploading and downloading user-created missions (Cross-Quests). The PlayStation®Vita version boasts additional features, like Cross Play and Cross Saves between PS3™ and PS Vita and touch-screen functions to select and activate traps. DYNASTY WARRIORS 8: XTREME LEGENDS (DW8XL) for PlayStation®3, is a stand-alone expansion of the highly successful Dynasty Warriors 8, which was released in July 2013 to critical acclaim. It will include new episodes that add to the story of the Three Kingdoms the game revolves around, focusing on the exploits of the mightiest of warriors, Lu Bu. Additionally, DW8XL will see the introduction of five new characters, giving players the option to choose between 82 warriors in total. DW8XL will also feature multiple hypothetical scenarios that alter the plotlines of various episodes throughout the ‘Romance of the Three Kingdoms’ story, an expanded Ambition Mode and the return of the popular Challenge Mode. The Free Mode has also been significantly enhanced, featuring among other things, the Xtreme Legends ‘Ultimate’ difficulty level.
