Master Reboot

Wales Interactive has just announced the release date for the PlayStation 3 version of Master Reboot. PS3 owners can explore the digital afterlife of the Soul Cloud on March 4th.

In the world of Master Reboot, the soul can be uploaded into the Soul Cloud upon death. Here their memories are preserved for all eternity so that they or their families can relive them. Despite the rather uplifting premise, Master Reboot is a first person adventure/psychological horror game. After all, not all memories are happy ones. You play as the Soul Cloud’s newest resident, but something went wrong. What should have been a pleasant afterlife has now become terrifying. Good luck.

Wales Interactive is an indie developer from, you guessed it, Wales. Most of their work has been downloadable games for smartphones. Recently they’ve dipped their toes into expanding their reach to consoles. Their last game, Gravity Badgers, has been released for smartphones and PC, and will soon be released for the Nintendo Wii U.

About Karli Winata

Karli Winata is an avid gamer with a taste for a little bit of everything. Except for sports games. And racing sims. And definitely not hidden object games! I guess everything is too broad a term. Suffice it to say that he has been known to play hours of Call of Duty multiplayer in between bouts of Persona fusing and Star Coin collecting while saving the world/galaxy through sensibly bald space marines or plucky teenagers with impossible hairstyles. Where does he find the time to write about them?
