So, this week in the Media Create charts is sure interesting. Frankly, I’m kind of disappointed in some of these results, particularly with Super Heroine Chronicle. For something that featured characters from so many anime, it seemed like it should’ve done better. There have to be more fans than the 25,000 that picked up the game.
As for Puyo Puyo Tetris… I’m not really sure what to say. It seems like an interesting concept in mixing two long running puzzle games together. Maybe they thought that it was a bit messy and steered clear.
And of course you have the result that anyone with a brain could’ve seen coming: Dragon Quest Monsters 2 taking top spot in this week’s charts. A remake of the 2001 Game Boy Color game Dragon Quest Monsters 2: The Mysterious Key to Malta, DQM2 was able to sell 443,656 units in its first week. Unfortunately, it didn’t have much of an impact on the 3DS sales. Then again, maybe Dragon Quest fans already bought the system when Dragon Quest VII released for the system.
