The "Denpa" Men 3: The Rise of Digitoll | oprainfall

It seems like we always get these cool localization stories starting with a rating in Australia. The latest is The “Denpa” Men 3: The Rise of Digitoll, the third game in the “Denpa” Men series, after receiving a PG rating from the Australian Classification Board. Developers Genius Sonority Inc. are listed as the applicants.

For those new to this series, here’s a quick recap. The “Denpa” Men is a dungeon-crawling RPG series that has you catch Denpa Men in order to battle your enemies. However, you catch these Denpa Men by searching your real-life surrounding area. The Denpa Men you catch will vary depending on the strength of local radio waves.

While the first game (releasing in 2012) pretty much had you selecting a dungeon to explore before any fighting happened, the second game (which released in the West last year) opened up the world and allowed you to traverse the world of the Denpa Men. We don’t know much about what may change in the third game, but we do know that they have added in the ability to stun Denpa Men when you try to catch them as well as flying around the world in the main game.

No official word has been released regarding localization by either Genius Sonority or Nintendo. All I we can do now is wait… and play the first two games… and maybe read our review of the first Denpa Men.
