Dark Souls II Collector's Edition Guide

Last Saturday, known Souls Community contributor EpicNameBro, or Marcus–a popular Souls series fan who makes extensive playthroughs and lore videos for both Demon’s Souls and Dark Souls–broke the news that he would be involved in the latest strategy guide for Dark Souls II by Future Press. Less than a day after he tweeted the announcement, the guide shot up in pre-order sales and skyrocketed up the charts, becoming the number one in strategy guide and #152 overall on Amazon.

Besides the beloved ENB, Future Press also has quite the lofty reputation in making strategy guides. Being hailed as the best, for not only their well-detailed and well-written information, but also production values and bonuses that make their guides collectors items. And it’s not too surprising that they would be chosen to do the upcoming sequel’s guide considering they did the previous entry’s guide as well.

And today the guide can now be pre-ordered for 40% off its initial price of $34.99 , now for $14.00 less – $20.99. Though some felt a bit burned by the previous game’s guide as FromSoftware released several patches that made the information outdated which limited the its usefulness. Fans are assuming it will most likely happen again. Whatever the case, it’s up to you to decide. No word of the guide being available on Amazon.uk or any other besides Amazon US.

Dark Souls II is slated for release on March 11, 13, and 14 for North America, Japan, and Europe respectively for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with the PC version being released at a later date after the console release.

The Dark Souls II Collector’s Edition Guide and game is available for pre-order at Amazon.com:
