For those who aren’t aware: each month, Club Nintendo offers a selection of digital games as rewards for registering PINs/products. These games are typically from the eShop on 3DS or Wii U, or from the Virtual Console on 3DS (and sometimes via the Wii Shop Channel). Let’s take a look at what Nintendo’s offering from today, January 14th until February 9th, 2014.

Club Nintendo - January 2014 Rewards | oprainfall

Game & Watch Mario’s Cement Factory100 coins (via 3DS eShop)
Spin Six150 coins (via 3DS eShop)
F-Zero200 coins (via Wii Shop Channel and Wii U eShop)
1080 Snowboarding200 coins (via Wii Shop Channel)

So, there you have it. It’s not quite the same as when we’ve been offered A Link to the Past or more esoteric choices like Mario’s Picross in the past, but I know at least one gentleman who’s always hyped for anything F-Zero.

Again—these games will be available through February 9. I wonder if any of these games are good enough to distract some of you going for that crazy-expensive Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon-inspired statue. What do you all think? Any games you’re personally interested in? Any recommendations? Be sure to let us know.

the luigi statue is sold out at this point :/ but yeah, not there best offering. well, f-zero is quite good. toying with the idea of downloading Mario’s Cement Factory myself. Link to the Past and SMB 3 are far better past choices.

    • Wow, I had no idea! I’m super glad I managed to get my Luigi statue before it was gone. I kinda bent over backwards because I was 300ish coins short when it was announced.

Club Nintendo offerings have been rather disappointing lately… I’m pretty sure they offered 1080 before (I’ll have to check to see if I picked it up), while F-Zero was 30 cents during the anniversary sale.

I can say from experience people should give Spin Six a chance. I bought it a while ago, before it was offered for points, and it is a fun, simple and challenging puzzle game. Lots of charm and zaniness. But yes, I want something else akin to the statue or poster set 🙁

I wondered about that. at first I thought it might be like hexic, spin ‘six’ and all. but it looked quite different

downloaded spin six yesterday. you were right! very fun and relaxing. it’s a cross between Hexic (xbox 360, PC) and Devil Dice/Bombastic (PSX, PS2)
