You know that sales bump I was looking for in the Wii U when Super Mario 3D World released? Well, it appears that we had to wait a week for it. It wasn’t much–only a 7,000 increase–but it was enough to pass the Vita for the week.

Ah, the latest in the Mario & Sonic series. Given the history of this series in Japan, it should do a couple hundred thousand in its lifetime. Nothing Earth-shaking but it should give a little boost to sales.
Over on the Vita, sales drop slightly but still hold above 20,000 with games like God Eater 2, Criminal Girls: Invitation, and Dynasty Warriors 8 with Xtreme Legends making the Media Create Top 20 for the system. Coming up next week will be the critically acclaimed Tearaway.
Not really much else to say about the charts this week. Nothing really stands out in sales nor hits a milestone. However, we should be getting close on a couple of things. Monster Hunter 4 is closing in on 3,000,000 sold in Japan and the 3DS is less than a 100,000 from 14,000,000 sold in Japan.
