PlayStation 4 | Retro Wrap-Up

So, we’ve finally come to the week of the PS4 launch – well, the North American launch; it will come out in stages throughout the next few months around the world. So, in this Retro Wrap-Up, what better way to celebrate than to look at the pre-launch commercials for the older PlayStation consoles. For your enjoyment, the oprainfall Substitute Commercial Research Team (in other words, me) has found a few videos for this special occasion, leading off with an old school PS1 commercial and ending with the montage for the PlayStation 4 reveal conference.

First up is the original PlayStation.

Next is the PS2, with special guest PlayStation 9 (coming in 2078).

Then there was the PlayStation 3 with the Play B3yond campaign…

…that featured this creepy baby.

And before that thing really imprints on your mind, let’s cleanse the pallet with a good old fashion montage.
