Rainbow Moon title screen

Rainbow Moon is making its way to the PlayStation Vita on December 3 in North America and December 4 in Europe. Announced over a year ago, this strategy role playing game was first released for the PlayStation 3 in July 2012. Due to player demand, a Vita port was later announced with a vague 2013 release window. Looks like they managed to finish the port just in the nick of time.

The Vita version will support Cross-Save functionality. Gamers who own Rainbow Moon on their PS3 can transfer their save files over to their Vita and vice versa. This should incentivize owners of the PS3 version to buy this version so that they can play the game on the go.

Rainbow Moon tells the tale of Baldren who got warped to another world, but he didn’t come alone. Monsters started coming into the world via dimensional gates across the land. Feeling a bit responsible, Baldren sets out to close these dimensional gates and find a way back home in the process. Check out the trailer below for more details.

If you must have it now, the PS3 version is ready and waiting to be downloaded from the PSN store. Thanks to the Cross-Save feature, you can then transfer your file over to the Vita version on December 3.

Karli Winata
Karli Winata is an avid gamer with a taste for a little bit of everything. Except for sports games. And racing sims. And definitely not hidden object games! I guess everything is too broad a term. Suffice it to say that he has been known to play hours of Call of Duty multiplayer in between bouts of Persona fusing and Star Coin collecting while saving the world/galaxy through sensibly bald space marines or plucky teenagers with impossible hairstyles. Where does he find the time to write about them?
