Sega Teaser - Screenshot

A new Sega teaser site has opened up; a screenshot of said site can be seen above.

The page’s title translates roughly to “Action X Simulation X Card Battle”, and the Japanese character in the centre means “violent” or “rage”. Below that together are the words “The new story will begin” and a promise to bring us more information in around a week.

The grey figure in the background looks to me like a dragon breathing smoke or fire; facing away from us, with its head twisted around to face us. What this means, I haven’t the foggiest idea, but it’ll be interesting to see how this pans out.

Does this look familiar to any of you? Because I’m stumped. All I know is that we’ll find out more on the 28th of October.

What do you all think? Speculate away in the comments; I’m interested to hear what you guys think!

  • Tempest

Streets of Rage! …. the card game

  • taekk

Card Battle pretty much guarantees mobage. Yawn.

  • Lamesy Watercorn

    7th Dragon? I could see going card/sim. But action…?

  • Thanatos2k

Obviously means they’re going to ruin the Shining Force series EVEN MORE!

    • John Ellis

The recent games in that series look pretty good.

    • Thanatos2k

They look like turn based strategy games….?

    • John Ellis

The shinning series is a turn based strategy game.

    • Thanatos2k

It used to be. Now it’s crappy action RPGs.

    • John Ellis

Phantasy Star used to be a turn based strategy game, then it became an action RPG.

    • Thanatos2k

Phantasy Star was a JRPG with a turn based battle system. Are….you sure you played them?

  • RagunaXL

I strongly believe it’s an expansion or sequel to sega’s ‘Code of Joker’ an arcade card-simulation game in japan. this game is nearly identical to Phantasy Star Online Episode III:C.A.R.D. Revolution.
