A new trailer for Monster Hunter Frontier G has just been released. It showcases a whole bunch of monsters new to the game, as well as new twists to old ones. In the beginning of the trailer, I saw a Rathalos with pale blue spikes, as well as an Alatreon with bright yellow and black wings, amongst others. It also goes through each of the weapon classes and shows them in action.

I have to say, I freaked out when I saw one of the hunters dodge left, right and then forward so quickly; either I’ve been dodging wrong this entire time, or they’ve made some changes here. And did I see the long sword hold on to the final move of its spirit combo before releasing it? There were a few other changes to weapons that I could see, especially in the hammer, which I use frequently. If nothing else, be sure to check out your own weapon to see what they’ve changed.

Monster Hunter Frontier G is currently out for PC, Wii U, PS3, PlayStation Vita and XBox 360 in Japan. There’s been no word yet on a Western release.
