Square Enix America has registered the domain for Drakengard 3 just recently, possibly a hint that the game will indeed be localized and released in the West in the near future. This comes after Square Enix made a brief comment on the issue of localization for the latest installment in the Drakengard series, and noticing the fan’s continued enthusiasm for the series in regards to localizing the game for the West.
Although, this could also mean nothing. Final Fantasy fans will remind us that Square Enix America has done this for a certain other title that has also just been in the spotlight again due to a recent interview: Final Fantasy Type-0. So for now, it’s best to wait for that official announcement before celebrating, but it can be a start for plans of something big. We will have to wait and see.
Drakengard 3 is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and is slated for release in Japan on December 19th, 2013.
