DanganRonpa Another Episode - oprainfall

From a mystery-solving title to an action-adventure game, the DanganRonpa series looks to be continuing its growth as a new popular franchise. In Famitsu this week, DanganRonpa: Another Episode, which was first announced at a Sony Japan press conference this year, showed us some more details on what to expect in this spin-off title.

This new game wont just be about blazing through a bunch of Monokuma hordes, as it will bring new horror elements never before seen in the series. Also, the weapon used in DanganRonpa: Another Episode will not be the typical gun or melee weapon usually seen in this genre.  Instead, it will be a special megaphone, which fires word bullets when the the player character speaks commands like “Break,” “Dance,” and “Move” into it. These word bullets will force a Monokuma to react according to the commands.

Famitsu also gave us a nice glimpse of the story as well, as it revealed the two characters users will be able to play as. The first hero revealed was Komaru Naegi, who is the younger sister of Makoto Naegi from the original DanganRonpa. The second character revealed is a returning character by the name of Genocider Syo (Touko Fukawa), who was part of the original cast of the first DanganRonpa. It is unknown if Genocider Syo will also use the special megaphone like Makoto.

DanganRonpa: Another Episode will be available for the PS Vita in Japan, but no release date was given.
