The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker | Nintendo Download

Please excuse my tardiness with the Nintendo Download. The regular writer of this series had to send his laptop in for repairs. And with the news coming out of TGS and the death of a former Nintendo President, you can see how this would get lost among the shuffle.

But we do have quite a bit of new gaming coming today and through the early parts of next week. We’ll start with the Wii U first, which surprisingly has only one title releasing on the eShop today, Super Mario Bros. ($4.99/$1.00 for HD re-download) for the Virtual Console. However, that’s just because the other games releasing this week will be coming later. These are The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD ($49.99; Sept. 20th) and Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure ($59.99; Sept. 24). In addition, there are sales going on for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate (50% off until September 22nd) and Chasing Aurora ($4.99 until October 3rd).

Over on the 3DS, we have quite a bit more content. Leading the way is Hakuoki: Memories of the Shinsengumi ($34.99), a visual novel courtesy of Aksys Games. The game is also available at retail. Also releasing on the eShop from Aksys is Shifting World ($7.99), a puzzle-platformer that has actually been released in retail form since April 2012. Other new 3DS games are Star Wars Pinball ($6.99), Mahjong 3D – Essentials ($2.99), Rage 0f the Gladiator ($6.99), and AiRace ($4.99). New DSiWare comes by way of the Tales to Enjoy! story series with Three Little Pigs ($1.99/200 Points) and The Ugly Duckling ($1.99/200 Points). Finally, appearing on the Virtual Console is the NES game Solomon’s Key ($4.99), a puzzle game courtesy of Tecmo Koei.
