Deep Down - oprainfall

When Capcom’s next-gen title Deep Down was first announced during the PlayStation 4 conference back in February, many were under the impression that it would be the next game in the Dragon’s Dogma series. But the new trailer released this month shows something quite contrary to that. Its been revealed that Deep Down takes place in the year 2094 and that it’s an online multiplayer-focused title with randomly generated areas of play. The enchanting story and gameplay trailer can be found below.

Judging by the above trailer, Capcom seems to be bringing their A game with this title. The new Panta Rhei engine being used also makes for some delectable eye-candy. While we’re on the topic of eye-candy, three new off-screen screenshots of Deep Down were released this morning via Yoshinori Ono on Twitter. While the quality is slightly degraded since they were taken off-screen, the graphical prowess shown off in the trailer can still be seen. The ever-sweet screenshots can be found below.

Thus far, Deep Down for Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4 hasn’t been given a release date.
