Square Enix might be expanding into the Western mobile market, as the newly announced smartphone RPG Final Fantasy Agito looks to be bound for Europe. As of yesterday, Square Enix has trademarked the logo and the title of the new mobile game in Europe.
Final Fantasy Agito is a mobile title that takes a lot of elements from Final Fantasy Type-0, such as its characters and setting. A possible release of this mobile game in the West is a rather strange announcement, since Final Fantasy Type-0 was a PSP title that never made it outside Japan.
Until there’s an official announcement from Square Enix, we will have to wait and see if Final Fantasy Agito is truly Westbound.
