Soul Sacrifice Delta: Logo

Keiji Inafune is no doubt focused on Mighty No. 9 as of late, but that certainly didn’t stop his team at comcept Games from announcing Soul Sacrifice Delta for PlayStation Vita at the SCEJA Press Conference earlier this morning.

This doesn’t appear to be Soul Sacrifice with a new coat of paint and some extra bells and whistles. According to Inafune himself, this is a brand new version of the game with all new elements and items. Releasing in Japan by March 2014, this should theoretically be enough to tide die-hard Soul Sacrifice fans over until…the next brand new entry is released “less than a year later”.

Soul Sacrifice Delta will allow a battle to unfold between Sacrificial, Salvation, and Neutral forces. There are not too much details revealed just yet, but until we gather more information, here’s the game’s debut trailer.

Did everyone around here enjoy the original Soul Sacrifice? Definitely seems like a game I should get around to when I pick up a Vita sooner rather than later. Don’t forget—even if Soul Sacrifice Delta isn’t confirmed for the West (I think it’s a no-brainer, though), the Vita is region-free.

We’ll have plenty more to talk about regarding the various announcements at the SCEJA Press Conference as the day unfolds.
