Sophitia Alexandra

As Tecmo Koei prepares to release Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate on the PS3 and Vita this September, the publisher has been rolling out a stream of new character announcements.  Previously announced figures joining in the latest iteration of the title have included Kasumi of the Dead or Alive series, Sterkenburg Cranach of Gust’s Atelier franchise, and the Japanese mythological figure Tamamo no Mae.  But the latest character announcement is perhaps the most surprising yet.

Sophitia Alexandra | Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate

Sophitia Alexandra of Namco Bandai’s Soulcalibur series is joining the fray.

While Warriors Orochi 3 is no stranger to guest characters from other franchises in its previous iterations, Sophitia will mark the first entrant to come from a property not owned by Tecmo Koei.  However, it is also worth noting that she’s not the first such character to appear in a Warriors title.  Samurai Warriors 3 featured a guest appearance from Nintendo’s Takamaru of The Mysterious Murasame Castle.

Sophitia and the rest of the expanded Warriors Orochi 3 Ultimate roster will be cutting their way through hordes of enemies when the game launches in Japan on September 26th.  There is no word on a Western release at this time.
