Steam | A Hat in Time
Hat Kid is excited to be on Steam.

Valve has recently revealed the latest game and software titles that have been Greenlit for Steam. A total of 16 titles have been approved via Steam’s Greenlight community. Among these titles are Swery65’s cult classic Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut and the N64-platformer inspired A Hat in Time.

A Hat in Time is an indie developed game that has recently gone through crowdfunding via Kickstarter. The game stars Hat Kid as she battles against the evil Mustache Girl. In the game, you’ll be able to venture through levels and worlds inspired by games like Banjo-Kazooie, Donkey Kong 64, and Super Mario 64. The game will also feature a number of tracks composed by Banjo-Kazooie composer Grant Kirkhope. You can check out gameplay here and here (a bit NSFW for language used by the players) as well as seeing more about the game here.

Steam | Deadly Premonition: The Director's Cut

Deadly Premonition: The Director’s Cut is an updated version of the cult classic Xbox 360 game. Play as special agent Francis York Morgan as he attempts to catch the Raincoat Killer. If you need help deciding whether or not to buy, check out our recent review of the PS3 version of the game (Zach told me to link to it).

A number of other interesting games are coming to the service via Steam Greenlight. The parody fighting game Divekick has been approved for the service, as has the more serious survival-horror games Centration and Darkwood. Also, Operation Black Mesa, a remake of Half-Life: Opposing Force using the Source engine, has been approved by the community.
