God Eater 2

It’s time to hunt some Aragami once more, as God Eater 2, sequel to God Eater Burst, has finally received a release date in Japan. It will be released on November 14th of this year.

An obvious challenger to the Monster Hunter series, Namco Bandai’s God Eater franchise became a very popular alternative to the Capcom’s hack & slash games when they released the first God Eater back in 2010.  Now, God Eater 2 looks to continue the fight, as more weapons and equipment, a new story-line, a few new battle mechanics, and much larger and more threatening Aragami beasts will be introduced to expand and improve on the original.

God Eater 2 will be out in Japan on November 14th, for both the Sony PSP and the Vita. I for one hope a Western localization is in the works, but for now, us God Eater fans will have to cross our fingers and hope for the best.

I haven’t played Burst in awhile, and have been waiting on part 2. Part of me wants companies to stop developing for the psp because the psp can do some serious graphics and I feel like it’s holding games back from looking amazing on the handheld.
