 Level-5 Professor Layton

At Japan Expo, Level-5 President Akihiro Hino announced that he would like to make another Professor Layton game. He has also stated that he is pleased with the sixth and latest game in the series, Layton-Kyouju to Chou-Bunmei which came out in Japan last February. This game will be released in North America titled Professor Layton & the Azran Legacy, and will feature more than 500 new puzzles for you to try and figure out. Hino stated that even though this game is the “final and greatest adventure” of Professor Layton, he does not want the series to end and would like to continue it with new puzzles and challenges.

Professor Layton & the Azran Legacy will be released on the Nintendo 3DS in North America in 2014.

How many of you are planning on picking up the game when it gets released? Would you be opposed to the idea of Level-5 continuing the series?

I will definitely be picking the game up, as I always do on the day of release. I absolutely love these games, and the changes they make every iteration only causes them to keep getting better and better. I personally can’t see how the series will be the same without the titular character.

Also, I know there was another game released recently on iOS, something about the son of Layton? I’m not a fan of iOS at all, so I can’t purchase the game. Any word on how this one turned out and if it’ll be ported over to anything else?

I can’t wait for Azran Legacy. Mask of Miracle got me super-hyped for it.

  • Zelpok

I will definitely be pre-ordering Azran Legacy.

I wouldn’t be opposed to them making more Layton games, as long as the quality remains high.

  • Crapcom as usual

Not gonna lie, regular Layton games are getting real stale.

Where the hell is Layton vs Phoenix Wright?
