As reported by 4Gamer.net, there are new details surrounding the Playstation Vita version of Ragnarok Odyssey ACE such as new character classes, weapon creation, and gameplay mechanics that will make hunting more convenient. Players can now equip additional bonus job classes, attack in the air, and use ACE Skills, which are various AP-based abilities that are acquired by accepting job classes.

The character classes introduced are the Sword Warrior and Cleric classes, which have been powered up by ACE Skills.

Sword Warriors are proficient in offense and defense. By wielding gigantic swords, they exploit the laws of physics against enemies and protect themselves freely. Their standard actions allow them to perform air combos, step combos, and above-ground combos. Job-Specific actions involve guarding in mid-air, and ACE Skills involve powerful strikes and boosting skills.

Clerics are known as “divine punishers” since they use magic to restore health, buff allies, and counter enemy attacks. While they fight using a mace and shield, their defense mechanics are similar to the Sword Warrior’s, as they also use Guard and Guard Cancels as Job-Specific Actions. Their ACE Skills are healing-based and can improve ally stats in the heat of battle.

  • Sanctuary: Creates areas on the field that allow for HP recovery. When allies enter these areas, they can each recover some amount of HP.
  • Heal: Recovers HP of designated targets. Simply touch the ally whose HP you want to recover on your members list, and you’re done.
  • Blessing: You and your allies’ attack and defense rise for a short time.
  • Gloria: You and your allies’ critical hits rise for a short time.
  • Coluceo Heal: You and your nearest allies recover tons of HP.
  • Kyrie Eleison: Creates a protective magical wall around a given ally that cuts damage.

Now, about the weapons: Ragnarok Odyssey ACE introduces a system known as “smelting,” a process that increases weapon power with the requirement of Zeny and raw materials. When smelting special “Rune” Weapons, you can receive a “Weapon Skill Change Ticket” which can greatly alter the skill of your weapon. When the weapon’s skill is at its peak, it can be converted into an “extraction smelting” card that can be used to pay for extraction smelting gold, silver, and bronze weapons.

Other new weapons include Halomonas Weapons, which are powerful items that can be acquired at the Halomonas Tree after achieving and reporting orders from special quests.

First, a specific weapon needs to be selected via the “My Order” screen. Then a series of reports based on the weapon have to be completed, and orders cannot cross over; there can be up to ten orders, one per weapon, at one time. Orders can vary in requirement, and some include subjugation, collecting a number of items, or searching for a specific item. After achieving an order, players select the weapon that represents the order; and if they don’t fulfill the requirements, they will have to start the order again.

Here are the list of Halomonas Weapons you can get in the game:
