Shin Megami Tensei IV First Print Edition

The fine folks over at Atlus USA have shared a special unboxing video of the limited edition version of Shin Megami Tensei IV with us.

The limited edition will include a 176-page design and mini-strategy book to compliment your playthroughs.  There is a deluxe-sized slipcase featuring art from Masayuki Doi, an artist for Atlus who has worked on titles such as  Persona 2: Eternal Punishment, the Trauma Center series, and of course, Shin Megami Tensei IV. Also included in this set is a Shin Megami Tensei audio CD featuring tracks that were hand-picked from across the entire series, so you know they’re going to be only the best.

Personally, I can hardly wait for July 16th to roll around so I can get my hands on this latest entry in Atlus’ Shin Megami Tensei franchise. You can check out the official website  for the latest details on this great-looking game.

How many of you out there are as pumped for this game as I am, and will be getting this awesome limited edition? Will this be your first Shin Megami Tensei title, or are you a veteran of the series? Let us know in the comments below!

About Steve Baltimore

Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.

Getting limited edition too! This is my first ‘Megaten’. The soundtrack hypnotized me to buy this SMTIV. And now, I’m interested to play all the main titles in franchise too.

    • Lance Grabow

unfortunatly megami tensei 1,2,and if… are not translated to english so it would be a lot more difficult to legitimatly get those games

  • Matt

    Glorious.

  • タイガー&ドラゴン

I was hoping this was an actual limited edition, because Project X Zone was a letdown in that department. It’s almost insulting that the Western editions don’t come close to the JP editions in terms of Collectors editions. Heck even Europe gets better bonuses with games.

    • John Ellis

EU didn’t get a collector’s Edition of Project X Zone. I can not remember the last time EU got one that was better than NA.

    • タイガー&ドラゴン

The UK edition of Injustice had a better statue, and the UK edition of MGS Rising had that amazing Play Kai arts statue. Those are the two most recent ones I can think of.
