Pokemon X & Y - oprainfall

More exciting news has been released about the upcoming Pokémon X and Y games!

Just to recap: last month at E3 it was revealed that there will be a new Pokémon type appearing in the upcoming games. This new type is classified as ‘fairy’ and is strong against those pesky dragon types. You can read more about this here. Two new monsters were also revealed. They will be the ones gracing the game cases. More information on these monsters, as well as the game play, can be found here.

A small trailer was released at E3, but now a full Japanese trailer has been released. Both trailers can be viewed below, the first one being the newest.

Nintendo, shut up and take my money already. I thought I had played a lifetimes worth of Pokémon during the Red and Blue days, but this new trailer has me sold.

In addition to the new trailer being released, images have also surfaced of special edition Pokémon X and Y 3DS XL systems. These will be premiered along with the release of the games on October 12, 2013. The price is set at ¥22,800 each, which is roughly about $229 US. The two designs in blue and gold are featured below. They are titled “Xerneas and Yveltal Blue” and “Premium Gold” respectively and will include a downloaded copy of the game, a 4 GB SDHC memory card, and the usual fare included with the 3DS XL systems. While as of yet there is no word on if these bad boys will make it to North America, the gold edition will only be sold at the Pokémon Center in Japan.
