PSN Weekly

Bladestorm: The Hundred Years’ War makes it way to PSN today for $19.99. In the game, there is a mammoth conflict going on between the English and the French. This Hundred Years’ War enhausted the armies on both sides and a mercenary (you) has the chance to fight for either side. Show your might, tactical cunning and more as you command the troops in the battle.

Warriors Orochi is the game that allows you to play as any of the 77 legendary characters from Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors game series. Jump into battle with your own three person tag team using the new Team Battle System or match wits with the Serpent King Orachi and more. With the weapon fusion system you can combine attributes from different weapons for more devastating results. This PS2 classic can be yours, today, for $9.99

PSN Weekly - Warriors Orochi

The free games to PS Plus members this month are enough to get excited about. Ya’ll know I am always excited about something, but check this list out and decide for yourself.

PSN Weekly - Dokuro

Free This Month For PS Plus Members:

  • Metal Slug XX (PSP and Vita)
  • Jet Set Radio (PS3)
  • Dokuro (Vita)
  • Oddworld: Munchies Oddysee HD (PS3)
  • Battlefield 3 (PS3 – THIS WEEK)

Dokuro is an adorably dark puzzle game that features the nameless skeleton who is… trying to save the princess, what else? The chalk tools he acquires throughout the game help him (and you) out immensely. Put your wit to the test in this puzzle game that will offer hours of fun game play. Since this issue of PSN Weekly is filled with niche gaming goodies and long enough already, I will link to the review of this and Jet Set Radio HD (below) and you can check out more details on those games if you wish. (You should)

Jet Set Radio HD, another title reviewed by the oprainfall staff is a Sega hit in which you can mark your turf tag walls, billboards and more as you blade around on magnetically driven in-line skates. Keep your eyes out for the local police force.

PSN Weekly - Jet Set Radio

Oddworld: Munchies Oddysee HD has you guiding Munch as you try to rescue your fellow test creatures. These loyal creatures will help enable your own escape, once free, munch will team up with Abe and together the two are guided by the Almighty Raisin. Work together and help Munch bring his species back from the brink of extinction.

Metal Slug XX is said to bring the excitement of the arcade to your PSP (or Vita) system. It has crazy run-and-gun gameplay and 2 play ad hoc that allows you to take a friend along on your journey. General Morden is defeated and captured followed by a mysterious army arriving to save him. The army is Morden’s Army (seems legit) from the future and they are basically there to kick ass now and take names later. They provide the General with special advanced weaponry that is sure to be a hit in the present. Characters like Marco, Tarma, Fio, Eri, Ralf and Clark return to take on General Morden and his new improved Rebel Army.

About Crystal Colwell

What's up everyone? Crystal here! I spend my time writing up the news for you all and keeping us all up to date with incoming game info from Japan. I do a little bit of everything else around here, too. 🙂 Happy Reading!

So are you also gonna tell people about the huge sale xbox is having this week?

    • smacd

Microsoft gets no love here. I’m not sure if anyone on the staff even owns an xbox product

    • Crystal Baltimore

I own an Xbox 360 and I know several others around here do as well. You are right though, the system does not get as much coverage as Nintendo and Sony. The reason for this is that we are a niche website so we have to focus on niche games – regardless of the console they are on.

If you have any games for the Xbox 360 that you would like to see covered – and that fit our site – please, feel free to let us know about it. We are all for expanding our MS coverage.

I intend on getting some reviews out ASAP for the system and would love suggestions of games that people would like to see reviewed.

    • Crystal Baltimore

If the sale includes any niche games it will certainly be covered. 🙂
