Soul Saga

Soul Saga

JRPG throwback Soul Saga has surpassed its initial goal of $60,000. Normally, that would be reason enough to celebrate; but there’s more. As of this writing, the project has raised over $83,000, with nearly $35,000 coming in the past two days. This not only means that voice acting will be a part of the game but that Soul Saga will be coming to consoles.

Yes, I said consoles, not just the Wii U. Yesterday, developer Disastercake announced that they will be bringing Soul Saga to the PS Vita and the PS4, as well as the Wii U. As a matter of fact, the $80,000 stretch goal was amended to include the Wii U, Vita, and PS4 ports. After reaching that goal, all ports will become a reality.

As stated earlier, the voice acting stretch goal was also unlocked. This will include the already announced voices of Todd Haberkorn (Fairy Tail, Fullmetal Alchemist) and Kira Buckland (Skullgirls, Mugen Souls) as Mithos and Elise respectively. With this stretch goal funded, they not only get those two but many others to voice various characters.

Next up are stretch goals for Airship exploration – similar to that of Skies of Arcadia – and Airship combat. Who knows, if funding keeps up at this pace, they could have a chance at clearing all of the stretch goals before their funding period ends on July 15th.

You can check out Soul Saga by going to their Kickstarter page. Also, you can help out the game by voting for it on Steam Greenlight.
