Exstetra

From an article published at Famitsu, some new character information and screenshots for FuRyu’s RPG, Exstetra, have been released. It details two of the game’s female protagonists, Serene and Mizuki; and it shows off new in-game images plus character illustrations.

Exstetra takes place in the world of Amasia, a fantasy-based realm that had merged with a modern-day Japan. After awakening in Amasia with amnesia, Ryouma must use powers sealed from kisses to make Prisma Knights and save these worlds from merging any further to prevent their destruction.

Serene is a shrine maiden of Amasi who lives at a village below the Exstetra Tower. After predicting Amasia’s lingering doom, she safeguards the tower. Serene guides Ryouma with directions throughout Amasia because of his amnesiac state. Serene is voiced by Aya Endo, whose roles include Akane in Ar Tonelico 3 and Alluka in Summon Knight 5.

Mizuki is a girl from the real world who becomes entrusted to save Amnasia as a Prisma Knight. She is known to be an archer in the real world, and it shows in one of the gameplay images above. Mizuki had known Ryouma before arriving to Amasia, and had saved him before; it’s possible she knows things about him before he got amnesia. She is voiced by Yoko Hikasa, who voiced Mio Akiyama in K-on! and Juliet Starling in the Japanese dub for Lollipop Chainsaw.

Exstetra is developed for the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita. It will be available in Japan at October 22nd this year. There is currently no sign for an overseas release, but we hope it will be released in the west eventually.

Thank you, Will Whitehurst, for translating the article.
