PSN Weekly

Sony is one of the companies that has gamers cheering at every step this week with each new PS4 announcement. E3 has brought on some impressive revelations with no DRM and Plus memberships carrying over. In addition to all of that, the console is also region free. The games highlighted below also go a long way towards explaining why gamers were not too outraged at being required to have a PS Plus membership for online multiplayer on the PS4, as lots of great games are offered throughout the year for the $49.99 price tag of PS Plus.

Note: As we begin this issue of PSN Weekly, an oddity has occurred and the store has already been updated. Everything coming today is here!

Hatsune Miku Project Diva F has a PlayStation 3 demo available today. This is the first Project Diva F game to see a North American release and fans are excited to see this day come. In Project Diva F you hit the buttons to the rhythm and aim for a high score. You can coordinate and customize your characters for each song, giving a unique view on screen for each song. Try the demo free today!

Final Fantasy XII-2 is available on PSN today for $19.99. The DLC for the game is on sale this week as well and Plus members receive an even deeper discount. This is the follow up to the 2010 hit tile Final Fantasy XIII and is set a few years after Lightning and the others saved Cocoon. Some survivors decided to rebuild on Gran Pulse and Lightning is nowhere to be found. Considered dead by some, Serah believes otherwise. A mysterious man named Noel appears to save Serah when her town is overrun with monsters and the two set off to save Lightning.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 DLC

Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception is available free for PS Plus members today.  A search for the fabled “Atlantis of the Sands” sends fortune hunter Nathan Drake into a desperate bid for survival. Strained to his limit of endurance he is forced to confront his deepest fears.

LittleBigPlanet Karting is another free title for PS Plus members. Sackboy returns in this karting adventure to save the Craftworld universe. Go Sackboy! Players get to race on fun-filled tracks, battle in hectic arenas and collect items in open-world environments. Mini games and modes unlike anything you have seen await you in LittleBigPlanet Karting. Sackboy has so many customization options that players can get lost just perfecting him. Excuse me while I run to my PS3 and start this game downloading!

However, seeing PS4 relies on PS Plus
The Wii U is now the last free online console on the market

    • Steve Baltimore

Maybe so, but when is the last time you anyone gave you 3 free retail games in one week? Plus is probably the best value in gaming IMO. The amount of free games and discounts I have received in one year is staggering. I have saved enough money with the discounts Plus provides to pay for my membership.

While free retail games is nice
You must consider the annual fee of either XBox Live/XBox Live Gold and Playstation Plus
