It’s been a busy E3 for Nintendo news, as it almost always is, but there’s another bit we can add: Destructoid managed to hear that Pikmin 3 has gone gold. Basically, development is completely finished, and all that’s left is to print disks and ship them out.

Pikmin 3

The latest in Miyamoto’s “RTS on a console” is set to arrive on North American Wii Us on August 4th, while Japan gets it on July 13th, and European gamers will be able to sit down with it on July 26th. Pikmin 3 has three playable characters, although the hero of the first two, Olimar, and his partner Louie are not playable. The series originated on the Gamecube, but both games received a release for the Wii and Olimar was playable in Super Smash Bro. Brawl. We’ll keep you updated if we hear any more.
