Phantasy Star Online 2 Sega Crossover - Sonic | OpRainfall

Phantasy Star Online 2 has officially been out for a year now. SEGA decided to celebrate this occasion by putting a ton of props and costumes from other SEGA games into it starting on June 12th. Because who doesn’t like crossovers, really? The games these items will come from include Valkyria Chronicles, Puyo Puyo 20th Anniversary, Border Break Union, 7th Dragon 2020-II, and Virtua Fighter 5. Oh, and Sonic the Hedgehog, if that wasn’t already incredibly obvious.

It’s still not clear whether or not Phantasy Star Online 2 will see a release outside of Japan at this point. Some of the games featured in this promotion, like 7th Dragon 2020-II, still haven’t seen a release outside of Japan. Hopefully, it won’t meet the same fate as titles like Yakuza 5 or Valkyria Chronicles 3. You can see some of the content in more detail in these trailers below.

About Kyle Emch

Kyle has been studying music at college for about three years now. He's played the piano since he was 6 years old and has been recently been learning how to write music. He has followed the Operation Rainfall movement on Facebook since it started and was happy to volunteer for the website. Just don't mention Earthbound or the Mother franchise around him.

    lol

Either SoA or SoJ is to blame for the PSO2 delay. I just don’t know which one.

God dammit SEGA, release this over here already! Don’t you want my money?! You know, the money that ISN’T already going to Sonic Lost World?!

  • I’ve been playing the Japanese version, and it’s great. It’s better than Phantasy Star Universe, and I loved that game.

The storyline is much worse though, but maybe it’s just because i’m using a moderately poor translation.

Damn you SEGA why do you make us suffer so much
