Back in April, it was announced that Tales of Xillia would be getting its own Collectors Edition, available for both North America and Europe. However, there was also the Day One Edition that was exclusive to Europe, similar to the Day One Edition that Tales of Graces f also got in Europe. It seems that North America will also be getting the edition or something similar to it, but under the title Limited Edition.
The Limited Edition in question will include the game of course, along with the ‘Character Profile Booklet’, a music CD, and two DLC costumes for Milla and Jude. While called the Limited Edition, it acts more like a First-Print Run Edition. Basically, if you pre-order or have already pre-ordered the standard edition, you will be getting the Limited Edition or your purchase will automatically be upgraded to it.
Tales of Xillia is a PlayStation 3 exclusive and will be released in North America on August 6th and on August 9th in Europe.
Siliconera got an interesting email response from Namco Bandai when asked about the content for both editions, to which they said:
“The costumes, character profile booklet and music CD are exclusive to the Limited Edition, while the Milla Maxwell figure, art book and music selection CD are exclusive to the Collector’s Edition.”
