Final Fantasy VIII will see a PC release as announced by Famitsu. The announcement also made it clear that this will not be the same game we saw released on the PlayStation in 1999 and on PC in 2000. It’s confirmed that the update will be high definition, but at this point, there is no news on any other additional features that will be added (although additional features are likely). It is also unclear whether or not this re-release will make it anywhere outside of Japan.
However, Famitsu did feature some screenshots of the high definition revamp of the Final Fantasy VIII:
