There’ve been various rumors circling the web about a new Sonic game with varying degrees of believability for a while now. Now the rumor mill seems poised to spin again thanks to a new trademark filed by SEGA. They recently filed the trademark for Sonic Lost World in Europe to be used with video games. Nothing else is known about it at this time.
What kind of game could this be? Is this a new Sonic game for consoles, or for handhelds? Is this going to be in the same vein as Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations? Is it going to be like the Sonic Adventure games? Is this going to be that Skylanders-esque game that was rumored a while back? Is this going to be a new game for arcades that you play by hitting a Shadow the Hedgehog-shaped speed bag over and over again? We have no idea. Maybe we’ll find some answers at this year’s E3.
