Another week is behind us. Do you all have plenty of games to play? Have most of you been making your way through Pandora’s Tower? While many of you are enjoying games of the present, I remain stuck in the past. (Is anyone really surprised?) In today’s Foreign Wrap-Up, the stand-in for the Operation Rainfall Retro Commercial Research Team (in other words…not me) would like to pay tribute to a franchise that’s been on my mind as of late, especially after Monday’s Downpour Podcast.

Why do no commercials of these games exist in English? Far too few of you have heard of this franchise, in my humble opinion.

Here are the highlights from this past week.

David Fernandes reviewed Pandora’s Tower! Rose Weitz reviewed Toki Tori 2! And in our Games of the Past Review series, Crystal Baltimore reviewed Crystal Defenders!

The big news of the week? XSEED Games acquired Atlus Online, and formed Marvelous USA (but don’t worry, XSEED is still the company we know and love). Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix‘s US release date was announced, and it comes with an art book. Joy?! And lastly, there’s details regarding Festival of Magic, an upcoming Wii U eShop RPG you should know about.

Justin Graham talks Unico in the Island of Magic in this week’s Anime of the Past feature. And hey, did you know The Downpour Podcast is available on iTunes? Huzzah!

I’m genuinely interested. Do you folks have any fond memories of the LUNAR games? Feel free to let me know in the comments below, ladies and gentlemen!
