Escape Trick

D3Publisher has released the latest game in the Escape Trick series, Escape Trick: The Five Dangerous, Secret Rooms through the Japanese Nintendo eShop for the 3DS. The game focuses on a young man by the name of Kentaro Sagara, who, after a night of drinking at a bar with his friends, wakes up to find himself trapped in a cold, concrete room. Thus the player’s journey begins. Similar to the Zero Escape games, 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors and Virtue’s Last Reward, players will need to closely examine their surroundings, where any item may be both a clue and a tool to reach freedom. Myriad puzzles, riddles, and traps await to hamper escape efforts, though players will have access to an in-game memo function that can be used to take notes. There are also two different modes available to play. In Beginner Mode, Kentaro will provide newbies with hints, while in Veteran Mode, players will be left to their own devices.

Although no information regarding a release in any other region has been announced at this time, we will certainly keep you updated if any new details arise. In the meantime, check out the trailer below, and you can visit the game’s official Japanese website.
