The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat

The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat

HENNEKO, also known as Hentai Ōji to Warawanai Neko or The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat, has already made a name for itself as a series of light novels, manga, and an anime. Now the series will be adapted into a PSP game as well. The new game will be released in Japan sometime this August.

While most anime protagonists wish they could hide their perverted thoughts from the world, HENNEKO’s protagonist Yōto Yokodera has the opposite problem: he’s a pervert, but he wishes he could more honestly express his desires. When Yōto hears about a wish-granting cat statue, he doesn’t hesitate to go and wish for the ability to communicate better with those around him. At the same time, a girl named Tsukiko Tsutsukakushi is wishing on the same statue for the ability to better hide her emotions. When both of their wishes come true in ways that are less than ideal, the two high school students have to work together to try and find out how to get back to their former selves.

The HENNEKO light novel series, written by Sou Sagara and illustrated by Kantoku, is currently six volumes long and still ongoing. The manga is currently four volumes, the first of which is available in North America through Digital Manga Publishing. The anime series is licensed by Sentai Filmworks and is currently simulcasting on Crunchyroll.
