Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy box art

The final game in the Professor Layton prequel trilogy, Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy, has been announced today for a North American and European release during the western Nintendo Directs. Granted, this was probably more or less inevitable, but it’s still exciting for Layton fans like myself to know that the game is coming.

No release date has been announced yet, but it is known that this will be the last game to feature the beloved Professor as the main character, and that it will feature over 500 puzzles. Wow. 500 puzzles. That will keep me busy for a while. Guess I’ll have to get with it and finish Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, huh?
