Sayonara Umihara Kawase for the Nintendo 3DS may actually be released outside of Japan. Rica Kuno Matsumara, the general manager at Agatsuma, replied to an email sent by one of Siliconera’s writers involving whether or not the company is releasing the game in the West. Matsumara replied by saying that they are planning to release Sayonara Umihara Kawase in the future and that they may even mention it at E3.
This game will be the first title in the Umihara Kawase series to be released outside of Japan, and if it does, 3DS owners are definitely in for a treat! The Umihara Kawase games are very fun and addicting, and there is not much else like it. This new game will feature multiple characters including the ability to play as both a young and an adult Umihara Kawase who is now twenty years old.
Sayonara Umihara Kawase is set to be released in Japan during the summer. As of right now there are no details regarding how the game will be brought to the US or who will publish it. In any case, we should all be happy that they are at least willing to bring the game outside of Japan. This is definitely one to look out for if a release date gets announced!
