Liberty City Stories

Today, Rockstar announced that Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories will be coming to PSN next week.

Liberty City Stories (a prequel to GTA III) tells the tale of a city at war and the gangs that would attempt to control it. The protagonist, Toni Cipriani, must “fight for his life in an odyssey that will shake Liberty City to its foundations”. Vice City Stories (a prequel to GTA Vice City) is about ex-soldier Vic Vance’s fight for survival. “Kicked out onto the streets of a city torn between glamour and gluttony, Vic is faced with a stark choice – build an empire or be crushed.”

Both Liberty City Stories and Vice City Stories were originally made for the PSP, and each received a PS2 port about a year after their releases. However, unless you have a backwards compatible PS3, this is the first time they’ll be available on Sony’s current home console.

The two games will be sold separately, and they will cost $9.99/€9.99/£7.99 each. No definitive date was given, but the games will be arriving sometime next week.

About Frank Urbanski

A lover of all things video game, Frank foolishly decided to ignore his dream of becoming a writer, and instead got a degree in Biology. It's possible that someone, somewhere might someday need a detailed phylogeny of the Goomba clade, and if that day comes Frank would gladly help. Until then, however, he's happy to flex his writing muscles with the rest of the oprainfall staff.
