Capcom Dungeons & Dragons

Capcom just announced that they are bringing their Dungeons & Dragons arcade series to Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network. The two games in the series, Dungeons & Dragons: Tower of Doom and the sequel Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara, were released in the arcades back in the mid 90s. They were bundled together and ported to the Sega Saturn in Japan but, unfortunately, that release is hard to find and sells for quite a bit of money online. With this release, which will hopefully support both local and online multiplayer, these games will be available to a much broader audience and for a much more reasonable price.

A Fun Fact about this game: George Kamitani, director of the upcoming Dragon’s Crown and Vanillaware lead, worked on these games. So those of you who are excited for Dragon’s Crown may want to check it out when it gets released.

Capcom has not yet announced a release date, but I’m sure we will hear more about it very soon.
