Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D

The banana collecting, vine swinging, and barrel-blasting platformer Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D for the 3DS was one of the surprise announcements Nintendo had up their sleeve during the last American Nintendo Direct. While an offical release date hadn’t yet been revealed, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D was slated to launch sometime during the Summer window. After letting the hype and anticipation die down a bit, Nintendo of Europe barrel-blasted a tweet further confirming the “Summer” launch with an exact date: May 24,2013.

Not too much longer!

The May 24, 2013 release date has since been confirmed for Europe and America, so both regions will be basking in the enjoyment of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D instead of bickering at who got first dibs. Thank you, Nintendo.

  • Excuse me if I may, but this seems slightly disnecessary.

  • I wonder if Retro Studios had any involvement in the 3DS port.

    • Retro Studios has no involvement in this. Monster Games is working on this port

    • Oh, that’s good to know. Hopefully, they’re hard at work on their next game, whatever it may be.

I already have this on Wii. Should I waste my money on a port?
