Pandora's Tower

What a great way to start the week. XSEED has released the first official trailer for Pandora’s Tower for the Nintendo Wii, which they announced they would be localizing back in January of this year among a plethora of other titles.

No gameplay footage to be found here, but instead a brief synopsis of the story told through two of the three main characters: the mysterious merchant Mavda, and the heroine Elena. The gist of it is this: you, in the role of ex-soldier Aeron, embark on the quest to conquer 12 towers in order to defeat the masters of each tower and gain their hearts to feed to Elena to rid her of the curse that was placed upon her, which is slowly turning her into a pulsating monster. Besides the premise, the end of the trailer gives off the vibe of the relationship building both Elena and Aeron do over the course of the game. Will you keep the promise between them with Aeron pledging his heart to Elena since childhood or will you simply abandoned her to her fate? A unique mechanic that is sure to bring curious gamers in to at least check out what is most likely the last localized Wii game that is worth noting.

While XSEED Games is stating that the game’s release is in April, they didn’t say the specific date. So don’t be too surprised if they have to change it. It has also been rated by the ESRB and, not too surprising, it is a T rating. If you haven’t pre-ordered Pandora’s Tower yet, there is still plenty of time to do so.
