  • That Castlevania demo was pretty promising. I didn’t like all the quick-time events, but I think this game will be worth a try.

This Castlevania demo was balls. It’s just so bland and uninteresting. Even if the gameplay is incrementally less crap than the PS3/360 Lords of Shadow, it’s still pretty boring, and in the context of a side-scrolling game also insanely unchallenging.

Oh, and being unable to use the d-pad in a side-scroller is a mindblowingly stupid omission. Can’t wait for MercurySteam’s incompetence to get away from Castlevania so the series can go back to being awesome again.

    • I’m in total agreement regading the d-pad fiasco. I played the demo y’day and was well peeved being forced to use the analogue stick. I kept reaching for the d-pad by reflex. Konami will miss this sale because of such a stupid omission.

Fractured Soul should be available for free.

Sorry, but I played the demo. Aside from a unique twist, it really isn’t all that impressive.
