THQA month after THQ’s big auction of its top of the line game studios and software property, THQ has announced that the company’s remaining franchises will be up for sale as apart of a “court-approved sales process.”

Some of the series’ in question are Darksiders, Homeworld, Red Faction and Destroy All Humans!  The final bids for these titles are due on the 15th of April.  There will be six items in total for sale; four available individually and two in a bundle deal, one for internal properties and the other for licensed IPs.

Darksiders, Red Faction, Homeworld and MX will each be sold separately. Big Beach Sports, Destroy all Humans!, Summoner and more are included in the internal bundle.  Marvel Super Hero, Supreme Commander, Worms and more make up the licensed pack.

Although it is a shame to see THQ go down like this, it also gives way for other people to give their own creative spin on some of these titles; let’s just hope they end up in the right hands.

What do you think of these developments? Do you think they’ll be handled properly in the hands of new developers and publishers? Let us know below in the comments.

About Theophilus Fox

Former Volunteer- My name is Theophilus Fox, I've been a gamer since as long as I can remember, and I also enjoy manga and anime. I'm a Nintendo fan, although I do not discriminate between franchises. I'm a guy who just loves to make jokes and generally have a fun time.

  • Lets hope these franchises go to a good new home.

  • I’d like Nintendo to rescue Darksiders like they did with Bayonetta.

All the other franchises here have a “care” level of zero for me, but that would be a good idea. Nintendo owning the franchise, maybe contracting Platinum Games to make it (since they seem to be in good terms right now). I wouldn’t mind that at all.
