The future is looking pretty bright!

The future is looking pretty bright!

According to a reliable source on GameFAQs who goes by the alias, Aryllies, has confirmed that Bravely Default: Flying Fairy for the Nintendo 3DS will be localized. There has been no date set for the start of the localization process, and they don’t seem to be in a hurry for it. And though this isn’t complete confirmation, it is really nice to have something to buzz about. Let’s hope that what this person said is true.

Could we be seeing this releasing sometime in the near future?

About BDFFLocalize

Our mission is simple: to show Square Enix that those in the regions other than Japan want the game, "Bravely Default Flying Fairy" to come to their shores. LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD

  • Can’t say it’s a shock. The 3DS is becoming more and more lucrative, but I would expect them to wait until after pokemon and monster hunter 4 are out before bringing it over.

    • Pyrotek85

That’s a good point, don’t want it to get overshadowed, especially when it’s a new franchise vs established ones.

    • I just meant it will sell better because of the bigger install base….

    • madmofo145

Depends on when they release monster hunter 4. My guess is that they will shoot for holiday 2013 unless it’s a super packed holiday release calendar, as waiting too much longer opens then up to other big name releases that they’ll have to compete against.

    • They should drop it in the middle of summer. Kids off school, lazing around, vacations. I personally consider Monster Hunter to be a super casual hardcore game. Super casual because of the lack of investment in a single play session (you can pick up and play; hop in and out of parties, ect ect) hardcore because **** monster hunter. :<

Not really sure how an anonymous poster on gamefaqs qualifies as “reliable”. This person could be trolling or a RPG fan who hopes that simply spreading the rumor that the localization is a done deal will make it a reality. I hope it’s true, but I really don’t see any reason to see this as a reliable confirmation. It’s still just a rumor until SE says otherwise.

    • Yeah, I don’t quite know what makes me reliable either.
More announcements will be trickling out this month though, from a more official source.

Happy to be of service though.
