In an interview with the fine folks at Nintendo Life, PD Design Studio revealed that they were bringing Dusty Raging Fist to the Wii U eShop. Dusty Raging Fist is a side-scrolling beat-‘em-up that looks similar to Shank. The game is a prequel to Dusty Revenge, which will be available on OS X and PC later this year. In addition to special support characters, up to three players can fight alongside each other and team up to use special attacks.

Inspirations for this game include God of War, Double Dragon, DmC, and more. When asked if this game will take advantage of the Gamepad in some way, Keng Jin of PD Design Studio said that “in terms of game design and user interaction, it does require some new thoughts. And that provides new and exciting ground for us to work on”.

Dusty Raging Fist will be available on the Wii U eShop in late Q3 or early Q4 of this year. You can check out the full interview here.

He has followed the Operation Rainfall movement on Facebook since it started and was happy to volunteer for the website. Just don't mention Earthbound or the Mother franchise around him.

  • So, judging from that screenshot, you play as a kung-fu rabbit as you beat up on assorted woodland creatures?… Sounds awesome!

  • Colour me excited kids, colour me excited.
